Markforged has long been known for producing best-in-class additive manufacturing products. But they are also equally as committed to ensuring that customers have the skills they need to succeed. In order to advance the state of additive manufacturing education, we have been hard at work creating an online version of Markforged University, to give Markforged customers around the world access to our popular industry training and certification program at their own pace.
While this initiative has been in the works for a while, recent events have proven that utilizing additive manufacturing equipment effectively is now more important than ever before to stay agile even in the face of disrupted or broken supply chains, or in uncertain times. When Markforged first announced Markforged University in 2019, they did so with the commitment to providing engaging and enjoyable education of the highest quality, centered around design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) and smart application of AM to business and manufacturing challenges with high impact. They did this through a combination of intensive multi-day sessions with individual teams, on-site at their facilities, and larger more general classes at our own HQ in Massachusetts. Over the last year and a half, they have helped Markforged customers all over the world accelerate their adoption of additive manufacturing technology within their businesses, giving them a powerful competitive advantage in their industries.
Now that Markforged University is online, teams of any size across the globe can easily gain access to the same in-depth training experience developed by seasoned Markforged engineers. And the best part? Markforged customers can complete the multi-day training at their own pace, with plenty of time to begin applying what you’ve learned to your own work along the way. The course includes video instruction, interactive training, theoretical understanding and applied examples and demos from other successful Markforged customers.
Those who sign up will learn about everything to do with the Markforged platform and additive manufacturing, including how to take advantage of additive manufacturing; rethinking how additive manufacturing can change your business; and how to design for additive manufacturing. Graduates will be recognized as a Markforged Certified Additive Expert in either Metals or Composites, and will receive certificates of completion.
