Become a Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert and Reap the Rewards

By The SolidExperts Marketing

The dictionary defines the word “expert” as “a person who has a comprehensive and authoritative knowledge of or skill in a particular area.”  Sounds about right.  So, what if you could hold the title of “expert” in a skill that’s guaranteed to help you stand out amongst your peers and benefit you along your career path?  It’s possible if you become a Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert (CSWE).

Achieving the CSWE certification isn’t easy, it’s a commitment.  But the benefits far outweigh the costs and here’s why…

  • Improve your skills in SOLIDWORKS – the leading 3D CAD software in many categories. SOLIDWORKS has the largest user base as well as the largest R&D budget.  Becoming a CSWE will allow you to do your job better and become the “go to SOLIDWORKS” person on your team…or even at your company.
  • Beef up your resume – and potentially land your dream job. More than just resume fluff, having the CSWE distinction on your resume could make the difference in landing an interview at all.  Obtaining this certification takes commitment, motivation, and dedication…qualities hiring managers are looking for in a new employee.
  • Stand out at your current job – promotions, raises and bonuses might be available and offered to those employees willing to become a Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert. Increase your bargaining power at your next mid-year review by showing your superiors your value as a team member.  Most engineers with the CSWE distinction are managers, mentors and/or senior level team members.
  • Challenge yourself – and reap the rewards. Sometimes achieving a goal isn’t about what other people think or what you’ll get out of it; sometimes the true benefit is proving to yourself that you can do it.  Becoming a CSWE is a huge honor and accomplishment to be proud of…and extra perks don’t hurt.  SOLIDWORKS hosts a huge CSWE event every year at SOLIDWORKS World that includes an open bar, exciting new “toys” to try designed in the software, and amazing networking opportunities.

So, what about the costs?  Well aside from the time commitment, certification is reasonably priced and has no renewal cost.  It might even be free if you are taking advantage of Subscription Services with your SOLIDWORKS license.  And if you attend SOLIDWORKS World, you can get a free test voucher at next year’s show.
