The latest update of Electrical Schematic Designer functional delivery has some notable enhancements to speed up electrical design, that you can start using today! Enhancements in R2024 FD03 include new options for searching 6WTags, faster content delivery from the Electrical Content Portal (ECP) and new options for wiring terminal strip connections.

Let’s explore these enhancements below.

Expanded Use of 6WTags for Electrical Design – find electrical content faster with ability to search by date and class.

The 6WTags search capability in the ECP now includes the option to search by classification, such as connectors, circuit breaker, etc. You can also search by date, including month and year.

Find electrical content faster on the ECP with the ability to search by date and class.

 

Drag and Drop from the ECP – speed up library creation with drag and drop.

Create new electrical designs and libraries faster by dragging electrical content directly from the ECP. Simply drag and drop content right into the graphic area of Electrical Schematic Designer.

Speed up library creation and electrical project development with the ability to drag and drop content from the ECP.

 

Wiring Terminal Strip Flexibility – speed up the documentation of electrical terminal strips by enabling connections with wires or cables.

You now have more flexibility when it comes to electrical terminal strips as you can use wires or cables, or both when making your strip connections.

Click on your component in the FeatureTree and select “Edit terminal strip drawing configuration” to see options to use wires or cables.
